Shanti Amalanathan

Shanti Amalanathan is an accomplished luxury industry professional with over fifteen years of success growing sales, profitability and innovation at Hermes. Her experiences range from merchandising, forecasting, buying and logistics, to retail management, with a specialization in perfumes. Shanti is currently a part-time instructor at Parsons, where she has taught courses across the fashion management programme in retailing, digital branding and social media marketing. Working at the intersection of fashion, identity and social justice, Shanti earned her doctorate degree from Iowa State University. Her latest research centres women entrepreneurs pioneering the modest fashion movement in the United States.
