Shaul Setter

Shaul Setter is a scholar of literature, art and political and critical theory, working on the relationship between aesthetics and politics in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. His publications include Collectivity in Struggle: Godard, Genet and the Palestinian Revolt of the 1970s (2021). He is the head of the master’s programme in policy and theory of the arts at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel. For several years, he had been the art critic of the daily Ha’aretz, and since 2019 he has been the editor of the journal Theory and Criticism at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute.
