Sheenagh Pietrobruno
Sheenagh Pietrobruno is an Assistant Professor of Social Communication at St. Paul University/University of Ottawa. She has been awarded numerous research appointments at: gendup: Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Salzburg; the Advanced Cultural Studies Institute of Sweden (ACSIS) at Linköping University; the Institute for the Study of Canada (MISC) at McGill University; the Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies (IGSF) at McGill University; and the Department of Sociology at Goldsmiths. Her research has been published in leading international journals including the articles, ‘Between narratives and lists: Performing digital intangible heritage through global media’, published in the International Journal of Heritage Studies [Routledge] (2014) and ‘YouTube and the social archiving of intangible heritage’, published in New Media and Society [Sage] (2013). She is the author of Salsa and Its Transnational Moves (Rowman and Littlefield Publishers, 2006). Sheenagh Pietrobruno’s current digital work involves building an archive of digital intangible heritage research.
