Shelley Brunt

Shelley Brunt is a senior lecturer in music and media in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. As a popular music ethnomusicologist, Shelley focuses on ethnographic approaches to music research and has a particular interest in the music cultures of Japan, New Zealand and Australia. She is the co-editor of Perfect Beat: The Asia-Pacific Journal of Research into Contemporary Music and Popular Culture, and recent publications include Made in Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand: Studies in Popular Music (Routledge, 2018, with Geoff Stahl).
