Sheridan Humphreys

Sheridan Humphreys is an Australian living and working in the United Kingdom. She teaches screenwriting at Metfilm School, London and at the University of Greenwich. She has an MA in screenwriting from London College of Communication and is in the final year of a Ph.D. in the Department of English and Menzies Australia Institute at King’s College London. Prior to academia she worked in theatre as a playwright and as a publicist. She worked mainly on UK Arts Council-funded touring theatre and at Edinburgh Fringe with emerging writers and artists. Her clients included the leading Black-led British theatre company, Talawa, known for new Black British writing and Tamasha, also known for producing new writing from the British-Asian diaspora; and dance company Candoco, the acclaimed company for disabled and non-disabled dancers.
