Sibylle Hurschler Lichtsteiner

As a child, Sibylle Hurschler Lichtsteiner loved reading and drawing much more than speaking. Her teacher wanted to send her back to kindergarten – too shy, too inhibited, too anxious. Maybe this is why to this day she is interested in children with special needs. Fortunately, music and dance helped her to make her way. As a primary school teacher and psychomotor therapist, she always wondered why some children struggle so hard with writing. Now she devotes her lectures and research to them. She is delighted that it was her team that managed to reform the Swiss handwriting system to facilitate children’s entry into the written world.
