Simon Sladen

Simon Sladen is senior curator of modern and contemporary theatre and performance at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and senior tutor (performance) at the Royal College of Art, where he teaches on the V&A/RCA’s History of Design MA programme. Recent exhibitions and displays for the V&A include Re:Imagining Musicals, Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser and Laughing Matters: The State of a Nation. Simon is chair of the UK Pantomime Association, curator of the National Database of Pantomime Performance and runs National Panto Day, as well as having published widely in the field. In 2022, he helped establish Staffordshire University’s MA in contemporary pantomime practice.
