Simone Dubrovic

Simone Dubrovic is professor of Italian at Kenyon College. His research interests are in Italian Renaissance, Italian and French literature and cinema, the interplay between visual arts and literature. He has authored and edited several volumes, among the others: Aprir vidi uno speco: racconto e immagini della grotta nei testi letterari italiani tra Tre e Cinquecento (Vecchiarelli, 2007); Zoom d’oltreoceano: Istantanee sui registi italiani e sull’Italia (Vecchiarelli, 2010) (co-edited with Daniela De Pau). He has published articles in several journals, such as Filologia e critica, Il Giannone, Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies, Revue Nerval. He has recently organized the exhibit at the Fellini Museum in Rimini for the 40th anniversary of E la nave va (And the Ship Sails On) with a special focus on the film director collaboration with sculptor Valeriano Trubbiani. He also edited the catalogue of the exhibit: Fellini/Trubbiani: E la nave va (1983–2023) – Fellini Museum 9 dicembre–28 gennaio 2024 (Raffaelli Editore, 2023).
