Skayu Louis is from the Syilx Okanagan Nation and is of Syilx, Secwepemc and German ancestry. He is a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band currently situated at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in the Indigenous Politics Program within the Department of Political Science.
