Soledad Pinto

Soledad Pinto (Chile, 1978) is a visual artist and educator. Her current research seeks to understand ways in which the display of hunting scenes from contemporary art could activate mechanisms that challenge the meanings that the same type of images, used as instruments of representation of power, have contributed to establish. She is an assistant professor at the Departamento de Artes Visuales, Facultad de Artes y Educación Física, Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE, Chile), and a doctoral candidate for the doctorate in arts at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
