Sophie Wennerscheid
Sophie Wennerscheid is an associate professor in the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics, University of Copenhagen. She has published books and articles on Scandinavian literature and film, amongst others on Carl Th. Dreyer and Lars von Trier. Her latest book publication is Sex machina: Zur Zukunft des Begehrens (‘Sex machina: On the future of desire’) (Matthes & Seitz Berlin, 2019), on the impact of technology on intimate relationships, human–machine interactions and posthuman desire. Other research interests include Danish literature of the nineteenth century, gender and sexuality studies and science fiction film and literature. Her current research project is on ecology, technology and spirituality in Nordic speculative media.
