Souad N. Al-Azzawi
Souad N. Al-Azzawi is retired associate professor at the University of Baghdad. She holds a B.Sc. in civil engineering, and an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in geo-environmental engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, United States, 1990. Dr Al-Azzawi has published 55 research articles on hazardous and radioactive contamination and holds two patents. Her accolades include the Van Tyle and Geophysics awards from the Colorado School of Mines, the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education Award for excellence in research, and the Nuclear Free Future Award from the Franz Moll Foundation in 2003.
