Stacey Abbott

Stacey Abbott is a professor of film and television at Northumbria University. She is the author of the BFI Film Classic on Near Dark (Bloomsbury, 2020), Undead Apocalypse: Vampire and Zombies in the 21st Century (Edinburgh University Press, 2016) and co-editor, with Lorna Jowett, of Global TV Horror (University of Wales, 2021). She has written extensively on cult television series including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Supernatural and iZombie. She is the editor of The Cult TV Book (I. B. Tauris, 2010), and is co-writing, with Lorna Jowett, a book on women creators of TV horror. She is also researching a new monograph on horror animation.
