Stephanie Walda-Mandel
Dr Stephanie Walda-Mandel studied ethnology at Heidelberg University and cultural anthropology at the University of Western Australia. Based on her doctoral thesis, her monograph ‘There’s No Place Like Home’: Migration and Cultural Identity of the Sonsorolese, Micronesia was published in 2016. After serving as assistant curator at the Linden-Museum Stuttgart, Stephanie has been head of the Oceania and the Americas department at the Übersee-Museum Bremen since 2017.
