Stephen S. Hudson
Stephen S. Hudson is an assistant professor of music at Occidental College in Los Angeles. He is co-chair of the Music and Dance Study Group at the American Musicological Society and has recent or forthcoming publications in Music Theory Spectrum, Music Theory Online, Journal of Music Theory, Intégral, Current Musicology, Engaging Students and Metal Music Studies. He is currently writing his first book, Heaviness in Metal Music. In addition to his work on metal, he also studies harmony in R&B and is an avid baroque cellist.
