Steve Johnson
Steve Johnson is Community Radio Tutor in the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Glamorgan. He has recently designed and introduced two newly accredited radio modules (on studio skills and recording and editing skills) for newcomers to the medium. Steve has played a key role in developing a bank of volunteers for GTFM and has also been instrumental in shaping the station’s evening programming. Additionally, he regularly presents daytime, late night and phone-in programmes for several community stations. Steve began his career in radio at Red Dragon FM in 1988, and after stints at Valleys Radio and BBC Radio Wales he joined Bridge FM where he was the station’s first Programme Manager. Steve has established strong links with community radio stations throughout Wales.
