Struan Gray
Struan Gray is a senior lecturer in the School of Film and Television at Falmouth University. He completed his doctoral studies in the Centre for Memory, Narrative and Histories, at the University of Brighton, and has been a visiting fellow in the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, at the University of London. His research focuses primarily on Chilean film and visual culture, engaging with debates about representation, cultural memory, haunting and the politics of time in ‘post-conflict’ and postdictatorship societies. He is the author of the monograph Picturing Ghosts: Memories Traces and Prophesies of Rebellion in Postdictatorship Chilean Film (Peter Lang, 2022), released as part of Peter Lang’s Cultural Memories series.
