Stuart White

Stuart White is tutor in politics at Jesus College, Oxford University, and lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations, Oxford University. He has previously taught in the Department of Political Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His academic research is in political theory, history of political thought and public policy, with a unifying interest in exploring ideas and proposals that combine anti-capitalist with anti-authoritarian commitments. He is the author of The Civic Minimum, Equality, and, most recently, a co-editor, with Bruno Leipold and Karma Nabulsi, of Radical Republicanism: Recovering the Tradition’s Popular Heritage. He writes occasionally at openDemocracy, and has helped edit two online debates for the website on the United Kingdom’s constitutional crisis and on democratic political economy (https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/opendemocracyuk/democratic-wealth-free-e-book/).
