Subham Dutta
Subham Dutta is an assistant professor of English at Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College, affiliated with Calcutta University. He completed his Ph.D. in the field of Sri Aurobindo’s dramatic works from Visva-Bharati. He has published articles and book chapters, articles in various national, international journals. His recent publications include, ‘Epidemic anxiety and narrative aesthetics in Sarat Chandra’s Palli Samaj and Pandit Mashay’ in Literary Representations of Pandemics, Epidemics and Pestilence (2022), edited by Nishi Pulgurtha, published by Routledge; and ‘Culture, cohesion and creativity in Tagore’s Creative Unity (1922)’ in Vidyasagar University Journal of Department of English, Volume 15 (2022). He has edited an anthology of essays on popular culture entitled Popular Narratives: Texts and Contexts (2020), published by Avenel Press. He has taught courses on popular literature, film studies, gender studies and literary and cultural theory.
