Supinya Klangnarong

Supinya Klangnarong is Vice Chair of the Campaign for Popular Media Reform (CPMR) and a central figure in Thailand’s campaign for media reform, a coordinator and board member of Thai Netizen Network which works on cyber liberty in Thailand. She is also a consultant on media policy to various committees, regulator, international NGOs and visiting lecturer. Currently, she is in a process to establish Media for Social Change Institution as a think-tank unit on media-policy advocacy in Thailand. She is the recipient of the Communication for Social Change Award, University of Queensland, Australia (2006); Human Rights Defender Award, National Human Rights Commission, Thailand (2006); the Ashoka Fellowship, USA (2004–2007); and the Eisenhower Fellowship, USA  in 2007. Her area of interest is media and new media policy, freedom of expression, communications rights, telecommunications, media for social change, media and politics.
