Susan Collins

Susan Collins is an artist and professor emerita at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, UK. She has exhibited widely internationally with works often employing transmission, networking and time as primary materials. Key representative works include In Conversation (1997–2001), which allowed pedestrians on the street to meet viewers on the internet; Tate in Space for Tate Online (2002) and Brighter Later (2013), a lighting installation driven by live weather data. Since 2002, she has developed a series of year-long live internet transmissions from remote locations including Fenlandia (2004–05); Seascape (2009) and most recently Current II (2023–24), which transmitted from a harbour wall in the Greek Peloponnese. Works from this series alongside a new commission will be featured in the Bangkok Art Biennale 2024.
