Swati Mehta
Swati Mehta pursues her Ph.D. at Trent University, Canada. She holds an MA from the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methods, University of Warwick, United Kingdom and a BA from Loreto College, Calcutta University, India. Swati’s thesis focuses on the relationship between digital engagement metrics and digital organizers in the climate movement. She is also a researcher at the Experimental Methods and Media Lab at Trent University, where she focuses on socio-technical implications of climate tech solutions. She has over twelve years of experience in leading and managing digital advocacy and communications for organizations such as Greenpeace in India. She also has experience of working in print and broadcast media through her training as a journalist. These experiences of working across media forms in different capacities inform her current research and broader interest in media, platforms and the climate movement.
