Tanja Johnston
Tanja Johnston is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, art therapist and head of programmes at the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum (ANVAM). She specializes in engaging the veteran community, current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and emergency services and families in facilitated arts engagement programmes. Tanja has co-curated exhibitions and programmes including ANVAM’s annual March to Art exhibition series. She was honoured with the Museums Australian (Victoria) award for excellence in 2018 for thought leadership in the cultural sector and the Australian Defence Magazine (ADM) Women-in-Defence inaugural People & Culture 2019 award for leadership in supporting the veteran community, specifically women veterans.
