Teresa Cierco
Teresa Cierco is an assistant professor in the Department of History, Politics and International Studies at the University of Oporto. Her research focuses on the EU’s relations with the countries of the western Balkans and the democratization processes in this region. Since 2011 she has been involved in a research project entitled ‘Peacebuilding and sustainable peace: UN missions in Timor-Leste and Portugal’s contribution’ funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She is also senior researcher at the Centre for the Study of Population, Economy and Society (CEPESE). Her publications include several books and articles in leading journals.
