Terry L. Jernigan

Terry Jernigan is distinguished professor of cognitive science, psychiatry and radiology and director of the Center for Human Development at the UC San Diego. Her work focuses on the development of the human brain and mental functions using non-invasive imaging and behavioural assessments. She is co-director of the Coordinating Center for the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study and a member of the Council of Coordinators of the Healthy Brain Child Development (HBCD) Study. She previously served on the National Advisory Council on Drug Abuse and on the Councils of the National Institutes of Health and serves now on the Trans-NIH ‘Helping End Addiction Long Term’ (HEAL) Multidisciplinary Workgroup.
