Tiija Rinta
Dr Tiija Rinta is a research officer and educational consultant at the Buna School of Music and Educational Consultancy in Uganda and Musical Beginnings East Ltd in London, United Kingdom. After completing her doctoral degree at the Institute of Education University College London, she has dedicated her time to training teachers in Uganda and working on community music projects in East London. Her research work has centred around the interfaces between music education and social inclusion, music teacher training in developing countries and the use of technology in music education settings. She has worked with major international organizations, such as the United Nations, in advocating music education and technology in less-developed countries. Her work has been published in several books and professional journals.
