Torill Elvira Mortensen
Torill Elvira Mortensen has taught strategic communication, public relations and media theory at Volda University College, Norway since 1991, and since 2010 has worked at the IT-University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Mortensen has taught media studies since 1991 and has studied computer games since 1994. Since then she has finished her doctorate on online games, published several articles in journals and anthologies, and written a book on game research. She is actively participating in building the game scholar community as a board member of DiGRA (Digital Games Research Association) and through involvement with several journals. She writes about her work on her blog ‘Thinking With My Fingers’, and is an avid gamer.
