Tracy Tidgwell

Tracy Tidgwell works in the folds of process and connection to explore everyday experience, the body, and the beyond. Her interdisciplinary practice draws on ritual, movement(s), collaboration, hospitality, queerness, and disability aesthetics to listen, learn, and relate. Tracy is the creator of Anywhere Near Us, a collection of audio performances of queer texts, co-creator with Max Airborne of the Fat Liberation Peoples History, a community oral history project, and co-editor of The Future is Fat, a book of scholarly and artistic interventions that reimagine understandings of time to allow for new expressions of fat experience. Tracy is the Producer and Project Manager for Hemispheric Encounters: Developing Transborder Research-Creation Practices in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design at York University.
