Trust Matsilele
Dr Trust Matsilele is senior lecturer in Journalism at the School of Media and English, Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. He has published on changing journalism ecologies, social media and protest cultures and on technology and higher education. His monograph themed Social Media and Digital Dissidence in Zimbabwe (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022) explores how voices in the margins of power speak back to authority in a country where offline protest is risky. He recently published an edited volume looking at the New Journalism Ecologies in East and Southern Africa (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023).
