Valentina Geri

Valentina Geri is a Ph.D. student in Italian literature at the University of Notre Dame. Her doctoral research and dissertation focus on Primo Levi and, in particular, on the presence and meaning of references to anglophone authors in Levi’s texts. As a scholar of Primo Levi, she has also dealt with questions related to the specific characteristics of the Italian Shoah and presented and published on Levi’s intertextual discourse with Shakespeare and Kafka. Her interests include fascist cinema, and in particular Dino Risi’s La marcia su Roma (1962), and testimony in the Second World War aftermath.
