Vera Florida Mkenda

Vera Florida Mkenda worked as a research fellow for the Diagnostics and Antimicrobial resistance in Livestock (DIAL) and Tackling Infections to Benefit Africa (TIBA) programmes, and recently moved to the Global Academy for Agriculture and Food Security of the University of Edinburgh. She has a Ph.D. in science, technology and innovation studies and has worked in the agricultural development space for over twenty years. Her work is on food systems, the ‘One Health’ approach, health systems, livestock development, agribusinesses, technology promotion, adoption and transfer and international development with the developing countries’ focus. Vera has a special interest in promoting mechanisms that reduce complexity in food regulation while ensuring equitable access to quality food.
