Vincent Marquis

Vincent Marquis is an art historian, writer, and BCL/LLB candidate in the Faculty of Law at McGill University. Until recently, he was a Research Fellow at the Zentrum für Kunst and Urbanistik in Berlin, the Development Coordinator at the new media arts centre Eastern Bloc, and Officer for South Sudan at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies. His main field of research is contemporary visual and political culture, and in particular: the intersection of art and human rights; urban theory and the ‘right to the city’; the theory and practice of activism; and the functions and responsibilities of museums today.
