Violeta Contreras Ramírez
Dr Violeta Contreras Ramírez completed her doctoral studies in public health and specialized in social determinants of health at the University of Puerto Rico. Currently, she is an associate professor at Universidad de Los Lagos – Chile in the institutions Department of Health. Her research focuses on inequities, historical context analysis, structural determinants of health and factors associated with dental consultation. In addition, her academic interests are related to qualitative methods, work with vulnerable populations, diversity and inclusion during the academic training of health professionals and the role of public policies in improving living conditions.
