Violeta Gutiérrez
Violeta Gutiérrez, Maya K’iche’, specializes in Guatemalan Maya textiles. She is currently the technical director, adjunct curator and the director of Conservation Projects in the collections of the Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Dress. She has also been field research coordinator since 2013. She was in charge of the textile collection at the National Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of Guatemala and has studied various private textile collections, such as the Guatemalan Maya textile collection of the Museum of America in Madrid, Spain.
