W. Brian Whalley

Brian Whalley is a geomorphologist and educator who lives in Sheffield, where he researches geomorphology and educational practice. He has an interest in cognitive processes and the linkages between art, aesthetics, science and education. He was awarded a UK National Teaching Fellowship in 2008 and was part of an Enhancement of Fieldwork Learning team awarded an HEA Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence in 2018. He is professor emeritus at Sheffield University.
