Wissam Mouawad
Wissam Mouawad is assistant professor of media production and chair of the Department of Mass Communication at Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates. A Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University graduate, he is also affiliated with the ACTE Institute at the Sorbonne School of the Arts, and a co-founder of the Middle East Moving Image Collective (MEMIC). His research focuses on Arab Cinema, particularly the intricate relationship between production modes and discourses in Arab films. His publications include journal articles and book chapters, and he is currently working on a book about Lebanese filmmaker Christian Ghazi.
