Wolfgang Hagen

Wolfgang Hagen, born in 1950, studied German philology and philosophy in Vienna and Berlin. From 1970 to 1972, he worked in the Merve publishing house Berlin. In 1978, he was a cultural editor at Radio Bremen, then from 1979 to 1984 editor and presenter at SFB. From 1985 to 2002, he worked as the head of the ‘Kultur Aktuell’ department, as a presenter of ‘Drei nach Neun’, then as the founding and programming director of ‘Radio Bremen Vier’, ARD's first youth program. From 2002 to 2012, he was head of cultural and music departments as well as head of media research at Deutschlandradio Kultur. In 2003, he started working as a lecturer in media science at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. From 2012 to 2013, he was Professor of Rhetoric at Leuphana University Lüneburg, and since 2013, he has been guest lecturer at Leuphana University.
