Xiao Cai
Xiao Cai earned her Ph.D. degree from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany. She is a lecturer in Shanghai University of Engineering Science whose research centres on film studies, image philosophy, urban studies and the representation of history. She came to the investigation about everyday life, identity, and history in Hou Hsiao-hsien’s films.
