Ya Ko Wang

Ya Ko Wang is a professor at the Department of Sociology, National Taipei University. He earned a Ph.D. in sociology from Loyola University of Chicago, and his fields of concentration are gender, sexuality and culture. He is interested in minority rights, and dedicated his career to eradicate the prejudices, oppressions and stereotypes of the disadvantaged and the disenfranchised. He taught courses on diversified fields, and has done research in the mobilization history of women, indigenous people, youth and gays. He also actively participated in the social reform and change projects in Taiwan. He has just recently retired.
