Yanina Carrizo is an Argentinean born and Melbourne-based Ph.D. candidate at RMIT University. Her research challenges anthropocentric educational approaches and proposes eco-centred frameworks to better address and manage environmental issues such as climate change and pollution. Through the protocol of ‘inefficient mapping’ (Knight 2021) and microscopic encounters, she focuses on the relations with dust and the other-than-human to reimagine more just futures. Yanina currently teaches in a kindergarten and she has previously worked in primary and early childhood education for over fifteen years both locally and internationally.
