Yi-Chen Wu
Yi-Chen Wu is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Theater Arts at National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan. She received a Ph.D. degree in drama from the University of Exeter, UK, in 2016. With an honour of distinction, in 2002 she graduated from Laban, UK, where she studied scenography in dance. Her academic research interests are mainly focused on the interconnection between Chinese Qi philosophy and its embodiment in theatre via the use of technological media. She is also an experienced scenographer for performing arts in Taiwan. The core of her design is to trigger a kind of performative relationship between the performer, the viewer and multi-media. Her research articles have been publically presented in the UK, Norway, Holland, Canada and Taiwan.
