Yijing Wang
Dr Yijing Wang is an assistant professor in the School of New Media Art and Design, at Beihang University, China. She received her Ph.D. from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (2020). For many years, she has been dedicated to the research of ethnographic animation and intangible cultural heritage-themed animation, exploring how animation can be used as a vivid and more inclusive display medium to promote the dissemination of minority cultures and intangible cultural heritage. Her ethnographic animation Longhorn Miao’s Love Songs was selected as the exceptional programme of the 2022 Society for Visual Anthropology Film and Media Festival held by the American Anthropological Association.
