Yongzhen Shu
Yongzhen Shu received her MA in women’s and gender studies and her Ph.D. in East Asian cultures and languages from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a visiting assistant professor of Chinese at Villanova University in the United States. Her research interests include Chinese and American cinema, literature, popular culture and gender. She has published articles and translations on English literature and gender studies. She is currently working on a research project about Chinese film genres in the twenty-first century.
