Yu Ji
Based in Shanghai and Vienna, Yu Ji (b. 1985) deals primarily with sculpture and body, and her practice is motivated by the centers around her ongoing investigation into specific locations that are charged with geographical and historical narratives. Yu Ji has participated in many international exhibitions including the 11th Gwangju Biennale (2016), the 11th Shanghai Biennale (2016) and the 58th Venice Biennale (2019) and she was shortlisted for the Hugo Boss Asia Prize in 2017. Yu Ji co-founded the AM Art Space in 2008 as one of the few not-for-profit, artist-run spaces in Shanghai.
