Yunah Lee
Dr Yunah Lee is a senior lecturer in the History of Art and Design programme at the University of Brighton. Since obtaining her Ph.D. in the representation of modernity and national identity in design exhibitions of the British Design Council, Yunah’s recent research investigates the development and potential of design history in Korea. She has been exploring notions of tradition and identity in the process of (re)writing Korean history post-1945 in the area of graphic design and fashion. She was a core steering member of the Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded network project ‘Translating and Writing Modern Design Histories in East Asia for the Global World’ (2012–14).
