Yusuf Devran
Yusuf Devran is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Communication, Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey. He graduated from the Faculty of Communication, Ankara University in 1989. After completing his MA in media studies at Gazi University, he attended a HND (High National Degree) programme at the South Thames College, the Department of Television and Multimedia. He joined Samanyolu TV, an international television channel in Turkey, where he served as the news director for three years while pursuing his Ph.D. at Gazi University in Ankara. Dr. Devran lectures on media analysis techniques, public opinion, semiotic and political communication. He is the author of many publications, including four books entitled Political Campaign Management: message, strategies and tactics; July 22: End or beginning of a period?; Signs and our situation; and News, discourse and ideology.
