Zoë Hillyard

Zoë Hillyard is a course leader for BA (Hons) textile design at Birmingham City University with a background in embroidery and knitwear design. She is an established craft practitioner known for her distinctive ‘ceramic patchwork’ vessels and is a member of Contemporary Applied Arts and the Society of Designer Craftsmen. She is interested in the role craft plays within livelihood activities and seeks to build circular design competencies and resilience through pedagogy, community engagement and material transformation.
