Andrew (Andy Reilly), Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Fashion Design and Merchandising programme at the University of Hawai‘i, Mānoa, where he teaches courses related to behavioural aspects of fashion and dress. In 2017 he received the Excellence in Teaching award from the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. His research examines the intersections of gender and sexuality, and post-postmodernism in dress. His books include The Men’s Fashion Reader (Fairchild Books, 2008), Meanings of Dress 3rd and 4th edition (Fairchild Books, 2012), Concepts for the Fashion Industry (Bloomsbury, 2014), and Honolulu Street Style (Intellect, 2014). He is founder and editor of the journal Critical Studies in Men’s Fashion (Intellect) and co-producer and host of Hawai`i Fashion Now.
