Brandon LaReau
Brandon LaReau is a Ph.D. student in performance studies at the University of Georgia. As a performer, dramaturg and director, Brandon has worked on numerous projects in Newport News and Richmond, Virginia, as well as Athens, Georgia. Brandon won the 2019 Richmond Theatre Critic’s Circle Award for best supporting actor, and most recently directed RENT for the University of Georgia’s Department of Theatre and Film Studies. He has a book review published in the New England Theatre Journal and a performance review in the forthcoming Theatre Journal. He holds a BA in musical theatre and dance from Christopher Newport University and an MFA in theatre pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
