Burak Erdim

Burak Erdim is an assistant professor of architecture at North Carolina State University where he teaches studios as well as lecture and seminar courses on the history of modernity, modern architecture, and urbanism. His research focuses on the operations of transnational housing and planning cultures within contexts of decolonization, national liberation, and globalization. He has published articles on American planning and educational exchanges in Cold War Turkey and is the author of Landed Internationals: Planning Cultures, Academy, and the Making of the Modern Middle East (University of Texas Press, forthcoming 2020).
